Common Development in Four Oldest Civilizations
The four oldest civilizations in the world: Mesopotamia and Egypt, Indus Valley Civilization, China, and the island of Crete, had many developments in common. These civilizations were springing up in different parts of the world, but the pace of development was somewhat similar. We have discussed some of the common developments here.
The common developments going on in these civilizations included the invention of scripts, building cities, using metals, domesticating animals, and developing class systems within their social structures.
