Disclaimer: This is not the only way to prepare for the CSE. This plan is highly subjective, so depending on your conceptual clarity, you may also switch subjects to prepare first over others. Generally, follow the steps that suit you and discard what is not serving you. The purpose of the post is to keep you focused, the subject preference is up to you, as civil service aspirants should be spoon-fed.

The only concern is to make an effective plan and then stick to it, no matter what circumstances you are in, the exam cycle does not wait for anyone!

Never underestimate UPSC Prelims' importance, with each year the competition is getting tougher and only 3 out of 100 candidates who sit for Prelims, clear the cut-off score.

It is not to scare you, inevitably, qualifying the ‘Prelims’ is more of a hurdle than cross than Mains examination stage.
