UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 Admit Card Out. UPSC has released the admit card for Civil Services Prelims examination on UPSC official website - The Civil Services Prelims exam will be conducted on 04 October 2020 in various centres of UPSC across the country. The morning session is General studies and Afternoon session is CSAT. For morning Paper-I timing is from 9.30 am - 11.30 am. For afternoon Paper-II the timing is from 2.30 pm - 4.30 pm.


The UPSC CSE is an exam conducted by UPSC for recruitment of to recruit officers such as IAS, IFS, IPS, and other groups A and B officers The candidates who are going to appear for the UPSC Prelims exam can download the admit card using the link below:

How to Download the UPSC CSE Prelims, Admit Card:

  1. Click on the official link
  2. The Prelims 2020 Admit Card can be downloaded using: 
    1. Roll No. 
    2. Registration Mobile Number
  3. You need to fill the necessary details along with the Date of Birth.
  4. Enter the right Captcha code.
  5. Read the Important Instructions and click Yes.
  6. Check all the important details like Name, Photo, Signature, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name etc

The Prelims exam consists of two papers - General Studies and CSAT. 

  • Paper-I: General Studies will be 100 questions that of 200 marks(2 Hours)
  • Paper-II: CSAT will be 80question that of 200 marks(2 hours)

UPSC Prelims Paper: I marks will be counted to determine the merit list whereas the Civil Services Aptitude Test(CSAT) Paper-II will be of qualifying in nature: 33% marks required.

Things to be taken to the UPSC Prelims Exam Centre:

  1. CSE Prelims Admit Card.
  2. The aspirant is required to carry two passport size photographs. Same as the which you uploaded during the registration process.
  3. Valid Photo ID - Aadhar Card, Driver’s License, Voter ID Card, Passport.
  4. Black Ball Point Pen.
  5. Wearing of face cover/mask is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without face cover/mask will not be allowed entry into the Venue
  6. Candidates, however, will have to remove their masks/face cover for verification, whenever required by the Examination authority.
  7. The candidate may carry their own hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle.
  8. Candidates to follow COVID-19 norms of ‘personal hygiene’ as well as  ‘social distancing’  inside the Examination Halls/Rooms as well as in the premises of the Venue.

What to do if you have not received your UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card?

The Admit Card is generally issued 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination. The Prelims e-admit card can be downloaded from the UPSC official site. No, admit card will be sent by post.
