The Prelims exam consists of two papers - General Studies and CSAT.
- Paper-I: General Studies will be 100 questions that of 200 marks(2 Hours)
- Paper-II: CSAT will be 80question that of 200 marks(2 hours)
UPSC Prelims Paper: I marks will be counted to determine the merit list whereas the Civil Services Aptitude Test(CSAT) Paper-II will be of qualifying in nature: 33% marks required.
Things to be taken to the UPSC Prelims Exam Centre:
- CSE Prelims Admit Card.
- The aspirant is required to carry two passport size photographs. Same as the which you uploaded during the registration process.
- Valid Photo ID - Aadhar Card, Driver’s License, Voter ID Card, Passport.
- Black Ball Point Pen.
- Wearing of face cover/mask is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without face cover/mask will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
- Candidates, however, will have to remove their masks/face cover for verification, whenever required by the Examination authority.
- The candidate may carry their own hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle.
- Candidates to follow COVID-19 norms of ‘personal hygiene’ as well as ‘social distancing’ inside the Examination Halls/Rooms as well as in the premises of the Venue.
What to do if you have not received your UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card?
The Admit Card is generally issued 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination. The Prelims e-admit card can be downloaded from the UPSC official site. No, admit card will be sent by post.
