  • Aptitude and foundational values for Civil Service, integrity, impartiality and nonpartisanship, objectivity, dedication to public services, empathy, tolerance, and compassion towards the weaker sections.
3Emotional Intelligence
  • Emotional Intelligence- concept and dimensions, its utility and application in administration and governance
  • Contributions of moral thinkers and philosophers from India and the world.
4Public/Civil Service values and Ethics in Public Administration
  • Public/Civil Service Values and Ethics in Public Administration: status and problems, ethical concerns and dilemmas in government and private institutions, laws, rules, regulations and conscience as sources of ethical guidance, accountability and ethical governance, strengthening of moral values in governance, ethical issues in international relations and funding, corporate governance.
5Probity in Governance:
  • Probity in Governance: the concept of public service, the philosophical basis of governance and probity, information sharing, and transparency in government. Here are some important tips that will help you in the preparation of UPPSC PCS General Studies Paper-IV.

Bullet points while studying - Whenever you read the topic that learns you, pointer sentences to learn easily. Or to simplify it, you can use balls, numbers, special symbols, or mind mapping to represent answers and related topics.

One thing at a time - Many candidates carry their mobiles, laptops, tablets with them during their studies, who bid them farewell constantly. Never keep any equipment while studying, this affects your concentration and you will waste your time.
