UPPSC Full Form: UPPSC stands for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission which is Uttar Prades state agency authorized to conduct the PCS examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh.

UPPSC is the government body that is responsible to conduct several examinations for state-level appointments in various Group A and Group B posts in government departments. One of the most anticipated exams by UPPSC is the UPPSC PCS exam which is called the “State Civil Services Recruitment Examination”. The PCS exam is also known as the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination through which candidates are appointed to the posts of SDM, DM, and other distinguished posts.

  • General Studies-II Paper is qualifying in nature. There are 33 % of marks are required to qualify for the exam.
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted as punishment for each wrong answer.
  • General Studies-I Paper is considered for screening main stage candidates. Its marks are required to get a hall ticket for the main exam, from there onwards it does not play any role in determining the final merit of the candidate.
