• The UP Home Guard's salary ranges from INR 5,200 to INR 20,200.
• Aspirants who clear all levels of testing are recruited for the UP Home Guard post and paid as per the 7th pay commission necessitated by the Indian Government.
• The Indian Government has regulated the salary, a daily wage paid to selected candidates, as per the Level 3 pay scale.

UP Home Guard Net Salary

Dearness Allowance 

Only those UP Home Guards who are on duty outside the state receive dearness allowance.

• Travelling Allowance: The expenses incurred by the UP Home Guard in the discharge of his duty outside the state will receive transport allowance.
• Medical Care: The UP State Government reimburses the medical expenses and the cost of medicine up to a limit.
• Maternity Leave: Female Home Guards is eligible for maternity leave.
• Pollution Hazard Allowance: When on duty, the UP Home Guard is affected by pollution caused by moving traffic. The UP Government issues a Pollution Hazard Allowance which is a percentage of basic pay.
• Night Shift Allowance: In the course of his duty, the UP Home Guard has to do night shifts. Therefore, he receives a Night Shift allowance for the home guard duty that he does in the night shift.

The UP Home Guard has a probation period of 1 year. Therefore, they will not be confirmed to a permanent position until they complete the probation period.
The recruited candidates must undergo training for 3 years after the appointment as UP Home Guard. The posting is in any of the various districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The Recruited Home Guard can serve only in that location where he is assigned duty. The Commandant supervises their work who has the authority to remove them from the Home Guard service if the candidate has not undergone the required training.
