1. What is NTA UGC NET December 2022?

  • The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given the responsibility of conducting the UGC-NET Exam to the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • NTA has been established as a premier, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct the different entrance examinations including UGC NET December 2022.
  • UGC-NET Exam is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Assistant Professor & Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Both in colleges and universities.

2. When will be the Online Application form for UGC NET December 2022 be available on NTA website?

  • The Online Application form for UGC NET December 2022 will be available most probably in october on the NTA website.

3. When will be UGC-NET December 2022 Examination be conducted?

  • The UGC-NET December 2022 Exam would be held in the month of December-january.

4. Whether the examination will be offline or online?

  • The exam will be a computer-based test (i.e. online) and will be conducted through computer-based online mode only.

5. Will NTA reserves its discretion to fix the centre in a city which is given in the Annexure-I?

  • As far as possible, the candidate will be given a choice from the options he/she has applied for the exam. However, it may need to use discretion due to administrative reasons.

6. What is the minimum eligibility criteria/qualification for appearing in UGC-NET December 2022?

7. How long will the result/award of NTA UGC-NET December 2022 be valid?

  • For Junior Research Fellowship: The validity period of the fellowship is Three years (3 years) with effective from the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidate who has already joined M.Phil. /Ph.D., the date of commencement of Research Fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of UGC NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.
  • For Assistant Professor: It is a valid lifetime.

8. Where will the UGC NET qualified candidate get the E-Certificate?

  • The role of National Testing Agency is only up to the conduct of UGC NET Examination and declaration of result. The E-certificates to a qualified candidate is issued by UGC- NET Bureau. So, the candidates who will qualify in NET/JRF may contact to Head, UGC NET Bureau, University of Delhi, South Campus, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi, Pin Code-110021. 

9. Is there any negative marking in the NTA UGC-NET December 2022?

  • There is no negative marking in UGC-NET December 2022.

10. How can I select the Date and Slot of Examination of UGC-NET December 2022?

  • There is no facility for the candidates to choose the examination dates and shifts, as the selection of examination dates/shifts will be allotted by the Agency itself, as per the availability in the four cities he/she opted for.

11. What is the number of attempts for appearing in UGC-NET December 2022?

  • The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET/JRF twice a year. Probably, in the month of December and December every year.

15. What action is to be taken if the candidate has opted English as a medium for examination and wants to appear in Hindi medium?

  • The medium should be filled while applying the online form. You can also choose the medium during the examination.

16. I have no access to a computer and no experience with the computer-based examination. How can I prepare for the exam?

  • National Testing Agency will identify schools and colleges with internet and computer facilities. The same will be assigned as Test Practice Centers for facilitating free practice sessions on every Saturday and Sunday for UGC-NET December 2022 aspirants. An NTA App is also available for the same.

17. What are the enclosures/documents that should be attached to the confirmation page to be sent to the Boards?

  • Candidates are not required to send/submit any documents including confirmation Page to NTA through Post/Fax/By Hand.

18. What do the candidates need to bring to the exam center?    

  • The candidates are required to bring the documents:
  • Admit Card, one passport size photograph to be affixed on the attendance sheet. 

19. If one does not get Admit Card, whom should he contact?

  • Admit cards will not be mailed/post to the candidates. Admit card will be uploaded on the NTA website. Candidates need to download the admit cards from the website only.

20. When will the NTA UGC NET December 2022 result be declared? 

  • The NTA UGC NET/JRF December 2022 result will be announced by 15th November 2022.
