Tricks to Remember List of Fundamental Duties

List of Fundamental Duties is considered to be quiet important of Polity section. Every year a minimum of 1 to 2 questions are asked from this topic in various exams including Bihar Police SI, Constable, Patwari, and Other state Exams.
In this article, we are providing you with Tricks to remember a list of fundamental duties which will be really helpful for your upcoming exams.

Article 51A of Part IVA of the Indian Constitution deals with Fundamental Duties. Originally, the Constitution of India did not contain these duties. Fundamental duties were added on the recommendation of the Sawarn Singh Committee in 1976 by the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act. Initially, there were only 10 duties, 11th duty was inserted through the 86th Constitutional Amendment Act. Citizens are morally obligated by the Constitution to perform these duties. However, like the Directive Principles, these are non-justifiable, without any legal sanction in case of their violation or non-compliance.

It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to:

(a) To abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem

(b) To follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for Freedom

(c) To uphold and protest the Sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India

(d) To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so

(e) To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India; To renounce practice derogatory to the dignity of women

(f) To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture

(g) To protect the natural environment and to have compassion for living creatures

(h) To develop the scientific temper, humanism

(i) To safeguard Public property

(j) To strive towards excellence so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement

(k) To provide opportunities for education by the parent the guardian, to his child, or a ward between the age of 6 to 14 years as the case may be

Constitution(a) gives Freedom(b) to be Sovereign(c) Nation(d) but we need to live as Brothers(e) and Protect Culture(f) and Environment(g) Scientific Temper(h) is necessary among the Public(i) to Excel(j). To fulfill this all Children should go to School(k)
