MAHARASHTRA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY (MNLU), AURANGABAD

• The University introduced its first academic program in 2017, with Dr. KVS Sharma as the Vice-Chancellor. The vision of MNLU is to become one of the best centers of legal education, training, and research in the world.

• The mission of MNLU is to develop and nurture the intellect for the betterment of the nation and humanity through Law and Justice. The objectives of the MNLU among other things are to contribute to the national development by invoking a sense of responsibility among her students, while simultaneously cultivating in them the spirit of intellectual freedom, qualities of leadership, imaginative power, and clarity.

• MNLU has been designing and delivering courses to enhance the ability and capacity of the students, members of the faculty, and other participants in avoiding and resolving problems under the framework of the law.

ADMISSION

• MNLU takes students for an under-graduate and post-graduate program through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) which is being conducted every year.

• MNLU has been ranked in the top twenty in the National Law Universities list. Students must have passed the 12^th standard or equivalent with no less than 50% marks.

COURSE STRUCTURE

• The University has developed an overall approach towards understanding law and justice from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The University offers unique five years integrated undergraduate program B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) to generate exceptionally skilled global legal professionals.

• The University is established by the Bar Council of India, and the University admits 60 undergraduates each year through the Common Law Admission Test. They finish 15 trimesters before being awarded a combined B.A.LL.B (Hons.). The post-graduate course proffered at the university is the LL.M. amount.

• M. course is of a One-year period and is separated into three Trimester. University offers specialization in Business Law, Criminal Law, and International Law.

• Allotment of LL.M. subject specializations will be done at the time of admission based on merit. Discipline will be offered subject to the availability of faculty and a sufficient number of students opting for it.

PLACEMENTS

• The internships start from the first year itself. Placements begin from 3rd years onwards. Some students secure offers by working excellently during their internships.

• There is a placement cell at University that works day in day out to help students. Tier - I Law Firms are the biggest recruiters. Day zero materializes in the last month of 4th year. Many law firms come for the interview.

COLLEGE INFRASTRUCTURE

• University is located at Aurangabad Road, Padampani Colony, Padampura, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Aurangabad Railway Station is about 2 kilometers away from the university campus and it will take around 10 minutes to reach the University.

• Aurangabad Airport is about 9 kilometers away from Maharashtra National Law University. Students can also take a bus or a cab to reach the University.

• Moreover, the campus area of the University is spread over 60 acres, with all basic facilities such as a library, internet, labs, moot court halls, auditorium, and many more.

MNLU FACILITIES

The University has been well-constructed with excellent infrastructure considering the need and convenience of the students along with their curriculum. It has the following facilities as the main attractions-

• Gym: The gymnasium on the campus often works as a stress buster and refreshing the students.

• Hostels: The University has equipped with decent hostel facilities to boys and girls, within the campus. 

• Cafeteria: There is a cafeteria providing a variety of food items at an affordable price. It's the best place to interact, relax, and rejuvenate.

• Medical facilities: The university provides health care facilities to the students by providing First-Aid and other basic facilities.

• Library: There is a well-built library with the books and materials required for the students and faculty in academics and increasing knowledge.
