The Roles & Responsibilities of the job profiles are as follows:

Nursing Officer

Job Profile:

  • The ward In-charge of NO shall be responsible to the ANS/MS for the management of the wards and supervision of the Nursing and/or skeleton staff. She/he shall be assisted in carrying out the following duties by Nursing Officer, clinical, and domestic staff as the case may be. The main aim of the Ward In charge should be to foster team spirit in her areas of work.

Senior Research Assistant

Job Profile:

  • Analysis of water samples for determination of physico-chemical, biological & micro-biological water quality parameters.
  • To assist the Assistant Research Officer in the analysis of trace & toxic elements and organic compounds using highly sophisticated equipments viz. ICP, GCMS, AAS, TOC analyzer etc. in the laboratories. 
  • Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipments as well as maintenance of T & P and M.A.S. stores and purchase of M.A.S. stores.
  • To assist in compilation and publication of data in the form of water quality, sediment and bed material year books.
  • Special studies like longitudinal DO and BOD surveys.
  • To assist in the preparation of water quality status reports giving special emphasis on suitability of water for different uses and reports on specified tests at selected sites on user's demand. 
  • To assist in the preparation of Water Quality Bulletins and other reports.
  • To assist in preparation of SFC memos and working estimates for different schemes related to water quality monitoring in river, lakes/ reservoirs 
  • To assist in preparation of technical specifications for procurement of various equipments including advanced, sophisticated and imported equipments. 
  • Entry of water quality and sediment data in SWDES form.
  • Participation in Inter Laboratory Assurance Programme (AQC) exercise.
  • To assist ARO/RO/Senior Officers in various Scientific/Technical matters. 
  • To conduct analysis of Bed Material Samples. 
  • Other works related to laboratory as and when assigned by ARO/RO/Senior Officers.

Senior Technical Assistant (Chemical)

Job Profile:

  • Carrying out analysis of geochemical samples
  • Carrying out chemical analysis of ores and minerals and assisting senior officers in the analytical work
  • Assisting in preparation of analytical reports
  • Maintenance of chemical instruments/equipment used in the chemical laboratory
  • Preparation of standard solutions and supervision of preparation of laboratory reagents
  • Any other duty assigned by superior officer

Senior Technical Assistant (Geology)

Job Profile:

  • To assist senior officers in geological data collection, sample collection and other field related work as per requirement of office/laboratory/field
  • To carry out laboratory analysis and operation of major scientific instruments in laboratories
  • Preparation of technical reports and laboratory analysis reports
  • Preparation of technical notes e.g. cabinet summary, detail monthly statement etc.
  • To carry out all maintenance related work of the geological laboratories
  • To help in the museum work/ arrangement of fossil, specimen, re-organization, duplicate collection, examination of their sections of specimens
  • To assist in preparing geological map, diagrams and sections

Job Profile:

Research Assistant (Engineering)

Job Profile:

  • To conduct literature survey.
  • To examine and scrutinize data for research and arrange it in proper format using manual or computer based techniques as required.
  • To construct the physical and numerical model pertaining to problems and projects at CWPRS; To design, fabricate, install and maintain the experimental set up and instruments used for conducting research.
  • To analyse the experimental results and present them in the report form; and Any other duties as may be assigned under the overall guidance of supervising staff.
