Start with what you are going to brief in this. It should highlight the idea behind the essay and what you are going to convey. You can mention some points which you will explain further in the essay.

3. Body of the Essay:

It should comprise of 2-3 paragraphs presenting or conveying your views in detail to the reader. You can support your writing by providing a few examples or instances to justify your views. Put your strongest thought in the starting and then the rest of it. Do not cross word-limit.

4. Conclusion of the Essay:

Always give a conclusion of the essay as the last paragraph of it. It should support the whole of your idea without introducing any new one. Refrain from using the same word/vocabulary that has been used earlier in the essay.

5. Precis:

It is a short and concise summary of any passage given. It contains the main idea of the author, his tone, and important topics. Be within the word limit strictly. Try to practice a few precis writing before actually appearing for the exam.

How to write precis?

1. Read the given passage carefully one or twice.

2. Highlight the important points, statements, words in the same order as given in the passage.

3. Get the main idea of it and what tone the author is using to describe his views.

4. Re-read the passage and do not forget to compare with what you have written to find if anything important is missed out.

5. Think of appropriate topics and provide them.

6. Comprehension:

It generally tests your speed of reading, how you understand words and statements, and your comprehension skills. It is a set of sentences connected with each other in the form of a story or may be related to other terms like the economy, social issues, etc.

To tackle this part, you need to be very good at reading and analyzing from it.

You must have learned a good amount of words that are expected to be used in related articles.

Knowledge of using idiom and phrases and their meaning.

Read daily newspapers, editorials, magazines, etc to increase your knowledge of rural development, Economy, etc.

Letter Writing: There are various types of letter writing, for example, Complaints, news, inquiries, etc.

Below mentioned are essential components of letter writing

  1. Address of the sender
  2. Date
  3. Address of the receiver
  4. Salutation
  5. Body of the letter
  6. conclusion
  7. Name or sign

There must be at least 2-3 paragraphs as the body of the letter. Conclusion paragraph must be given supporting your views that you have stated earlier. Make sure not to be very high with your tone. Each sentence should be connected with each other and signifies their meaning.
