Exam Pattern for SSC CGL Tier 2

• Tier 2 comprises four papers – Paper I, II, III, IV.
• Paper I & II are mandatory for all posts.
• Paper III is valid only for candidates who have applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and were shortlisted in Tier 1 for this post/ paper.
• Paper IV is valid only for candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer and are shortlisted in Tier 1 for this post/ paper.
• In Tier 2, the aspirants will get a deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in paper II (English Language and Comprehension) and 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer in Paper I, III, and IV.

• The Tier 3 paper will be answered either in Hindi or in English.
• The candidates have to write their correct roll number to the prescribed places on the cover page of the answer book.
• The candidates also need to affix the left-hand thumb impression and signature in the relevant column of the answer book.
• The answer books containing the roll number, signature, and left thumb impression will be awarded as zero marks.
• The candidates should not reveal their personal identity such as name, mobile number, or address inside the answer books.

Let us start with the time that you would need to prepare both papers in a day. Out of 24 hours, we would suggest that you give at least 7-9 hours to prepare for the SSC CGL Tier-II exam and spare 30 to 1.5 hours for reading the content and summarising it in your own words. • Divide your 7 to 9 hours judiciously and equally between two sections.

• Start the preparation for it with SSC CGL Tier-II exam preparation. Just remember you need to take out just 1 hour and start writing on the current issues. Go through the important govt schemes.
• Working on writing skills is tricky and requires time. The early you start the better would be the result. Focus on minimising grammatical errors.
