The Total Geographical Area of India is 3.28 million square kilometers. India is the seventh largest country in the world by area. India is located north of the equator between 8°4’N (mainland) and 37°6’N latitude and 68°7’E to 97°25’E longitude. India is a large country located in the southern region of the Asian continent. It is located in the northern hemisphere of the Earth relative to the rest of the world.

India has a total geographical area of 3.28 million square kilometers. In addition, India’s land border is spread over an area of 15,200 square kilometers. If both Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands are included, the survey area is 7516.6 sq. km.

The size of India is also measured from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Kutch to Arunachal Pradesh or to 3,200 square kilometers and 2,900 square kilometers respectively. The Bay of Bengal is bordered by India to the east, the Arabian Sea to the west, the Lakshadweep Sea to the southwest, and the Indian Ocean to the south.
