Eddy Current Loss is the reason as to the lamination of armature of DC Motor is used to minimize it.
- The armature is built up in cylindrical or drum shape high-grade silicon steel in the form of lamination.
- So when lamination is used, the circular path of Eddy Current is terminated.
- Thus, the heating and damage to the armature are reduced by lamination.
