Telangana Grameena Bank, established as a government-scheduled bank under the Regional Rural Bank Act of 1976, now operates in five former districts, namely Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Rangareddy, and Hyderabad, i.e., 18 reorganised districts of the State, with a network of 421 branches. In the ratio of 50:35:15 per cent, the bank’s shareholders are the Government of India, State Bank of India, and the Government of Telangana. TGB is one of the Telangana state’s rural banks with a strong performance in backward state districts in terms of advances and deposits, profit growth, and nonperforming assets (NPAs) (non-performing assets).

  2. DGB developed its headquarters in Hyderabad by offering various services such as low-interest rates and superior credit service, among other things. 
  3. The DGB in Telangana State covers five districts, most of which are backward, namely Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Adilabad. The bank’s permissible cash inflows are INR five crores.
  4. The paid-up capital is INR four crores, representing a significant commitment from the Indian government, the Sponsor Bank, the State Bank of Hyderabad, and thus the Telangana government to the 50:35:15 ratio. 

Products And Services

TGB’s business is broad since it offers a wide range of banking services.
