REET Selection Process comprises of written test and interview. Candidates who will appear in the REET 2022 exam need to score more than REET cutoff in order to clear the paper after which they will be provided REET certificate and called for Interview. Candidates who qualify the interview will be provided employment opportunities at various government school in Rajasthan according to their performance. While those who will be unable to qualify the REET interview process will be provided certificate and they can apply at any private school.

REET Selection Process 2022

The REET Selection Process 2022 will be conducted by the Rajasthan Board of education to test and shortlist suitable candidates who can go on to educate the students ranging from class 1 to class 8. The REET Exams are conducted to measure the eligibility of a candidate to teach by the Government of Rajasthan. As per the REET Selection Process, the exam primarily has two phases - the written test and the personal interview. The written test is of two levels - Level 1 (Class I to V) and Level 2 (Class VI to VIII). Once the candidates clear these exams by scoring the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam authorities, they are then eligible for REET Certification. 

Latest Changes Made in REET Recruitment 

The minimum qualifying marks for the REET exam has been changed and the updated REET new cut-off is shared below for your reference. As per the previous year's recruitment, in the REET 2021 exam, the minimum qualifying marks for different categories have been given exempted. Also, Rajasthan GK has been included in the EVS section.

Steps involved in REET Selection Process

The REET Exam is a state-level exam conducted by the Board Of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. There are two major steps in the REET Selection process:

  • The written Examination - Level 1 (Class I to V) and Level 2 (Class VI to VIII)
  • The Personal Interview

REET Level 1 Exam Pattern 2022 - From Class I to Class V

The REET Level 1 Exam is for those who are looking out to teach children that belong to Class 1 to Class 5. The interested candidates must take up the exam and score the minimum cut off marks to be qualified in this exam. Each question in the paper will carry one mark. Candidates must ensure to complete the paper on time and score as high as possible to be able to qualify and receive the certification and processed to interview.

REET Level 2 Exam Pattern 2022 - From Class VI to VIII

The REET Level 2 Exam is for those who are looking out for teaching children belonging to Class 6 to Class 8. This paper has over four sections with minor changes when compared with the Level 1 paper. Candidates here must answer over 150 questions each carrying one mark each. Candidates who successfully obtain the minimum qualifying marks will be considered eligible for REET Certification and the interview process.

NOTE: Candidates who wish to teach from classes 1 to 8, must take up and clear both the REET Level 1 as well as REET Level 2 Exam. Even though the exam pattern will be more or less similar, The Primary and Secondary level of the REET examination will have two different papers.

For both the REET Level 1 Exam as well as REET Level 2 Exam, a candidate who has scored a minimum of 60% of the total marks is considered to be qualified in the exam. However, the cut off will vary based on the vacancies, the paper difficulty and the number of applicants.

REET Interview

Once a candidate qualified in the Level 1 Exam or the Level 2 Exam based on their choice, they will then proceed to the REET Interview 2022. This round is mainly to test the temperament of the candidate with respect to the profession. Candidates are advised to be confident and perform well in the interview in order to secure their position in the merit list. Once the interview process is completed, the selected students become a certified state government teacher.
