Success story of JEE Main Toppers|| Aniket Gupta(AIR 5328)

By Prashant Kumar|Updated : July 8th, 2018

30th April 2018 was the glorious day for Aniket Gupta when he was crowned with an All India Rank of 5328. He achieved his aim: To get admission into one of the premier engineering colleges. The journey was not easy for him, but he never let himself down and kept on moving. He was well supported by his parents and family members.

In the month of April 2018, JEE Main 2018 was conducted to select the bright candidates for admission into premier engineering institutes such as NITs/IIITs/IISERs and GFTIs.

We talked to our user Aniket Gupta and he shared some of the valuable insights which are certainly going to help you. Here are some of the excerpts from our conversation.

  • How did you manage to get a good rank in JEE?
I knew that if I keep on studying and keep practicing enough problems, I won't feel much academic pressure. I followed this and followed my schedule strictly. Still, there was some pressure, in such a case, my family members helped me a lot. They always supported me. I used to walk on a daily basis which helped me in keeping motivated.
  • How did you manage pressure during the last two months of the examination?
As I was clear with almost all the concepts, I felt confident that I am prepared with the basic concepts. Thus the task was only to solve more problems and work on those areas where I was lacking. I attempted multiple mock papers, analyzed the weak areas and worked on that. This helped me in removing my fear and thus nullified the source of pressure. I used to get psychological pressure and that was a case of worry for me. Here my parents helped me a lot and they helped me in removing my fear.
  • How extensively did you practice the mock test papers and previous year question papers?
This was the area where I focused more especially in the last two months before the final examination. Solving mock papers and previous year papers gives an idea about the exact exam pattern. I solved atleast 3 mocks a week and analyzed it.

  • What advice do you want to share with the future JEE aspirants?
If you wish to get a good seat in an engineering college, you should read on a daily basis. Make your own plan, follow it. Follow it regularly. Be clear with all the concepts and solve as many quizzes, mock papers as possible. Follow your mentors. They are torch bearer who can help you in achieving your aim.

We talked more about his preparation strategy and he was of the opinion that technology is a great benefit for our generation. Since all the exams are going to be in an online form in the coming days, so we should start using technical products. He was of the opinion that the exam preparation app such as  Gradeup can be of great help as here mentors guidance is awesome. One can get guidance from IITians and NITians which usually people do not get.

We thank him for using our service. And we wish him best wishes for his future.
