There are various demerits of a democratic government such as a rise in instability because of the changing leaders. Elected leaders are not aware of the interest of the people, there being no scope for morality as democracy is all about powerplay and politics. Delay in the process as consultation from so many people is required, ordinary people are not aware of the good for them, etc. are various reasons that act against it.
Democracy has not ended the major problems in the country such as poverty, unemployment, hunger, etc. In a democratic form of government, the efficiency of government is also not good due to changes in leadership.
