JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2021 Overview

JPSC Eligibility 2021: JPSC has released complete details about the JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2021 along with the official notification. Candidates must go through the JPSC eligibility details before applying online. The JPSC Eligibility 2021 contain details about the age limit, educational qualification and more. 

JPSC exam is conducted for various posts of Deputy Collector, District Minority Welfare Officer, DSP, and Jail superintendent etc. Jharkhand PSC exam is one of the hardest exams of the state. Lakhs of aspirants appear for the JPSC each year for the most coveted positions in the executive level of Jharkhand. Let us have a glance at the Exam Eligibility of the JPSC Examination.

According to the JPSC notification, the following are the eligibility criteria for the JPSC Combined Civil Service Exam 2021

  • Nationality
  • JPSC Age Limit
  • JPSC Educational Qualification
  • Physical Standards (for certain posts)
  • Number of attempts 

JPSC Age Limit 2021

As per the official eligibility criteria of JPSC, the age limit is mentioned below. 

Minimum age:

  • For Jharkhand Administrative services- 22 years
  • For Jharkhand Police services and product services- 20 years
  • For Jharkhand Finance Services- 21 years

Maximum Age:

  • For Unreserved Male upper age limit should be 37 years.

JPSC Age Relaxation

  • Maximum 40 years

JPSC has given certain prerequisite in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:

  • Candidate must have a Domicile of Jharkhand.
  • A candidate claiming for the reservation of seat must produce the category certificate from the competent authority
  • Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the JPSC Exam shall be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial.

JPSC Educational Qualification

If you want to apply for this examination, Candidates must be a Degree holder from recognized university/ equivalent qualification.

  • Applicants in the final year of graduation are not eligible unless they clear their examination by the last date of application submission. Check the JPSC Dates 2021
  • Candidates applying for the Jharkhand Yojana service will be eligible  if they hold a degree from a recognized University in any of the following subjects: 

    •  Bachelor in Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography, Agricultural Science or Civil Engineering

JPSC Physical Criteria

JPSC Eligibility 2021 states that the following physical criteria must be met for the following post of Deputy Superintendent of Police / District Commander / Jail Superintendent and Probation Officer: -

(A) Minimum length of reserved / backward and extremely backward class male candidates - 185 n.m.

(B) Minimum length of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Caste male candidates - 182 cm.

(C) Minimum length of women of unreserved/backward and extremely backward class - 155 cm and a minimum length of women of scheduled caste and scheduled caste - 152 cm

(D) The minimum measurement of the chest of male candidates of general and backward and very backward classes will be 81 cm without inflating and the minimum measurement of the chest of male candidates of scheduled caste and scheduled caste will be 79 cm without inflating.

JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2021: Other Parameters

Marital Status

  • female candidates who are married to a person already having another wife & Male Married candidates who have more than one wife living will not be eligible for the recruitment unless granted an exemption by the Governor.

Nationality:

  • The Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Reservation:

  • The reservation Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe & Other Backward Class, of Jharkhand, shall be admissible in accordance with the provision of relevant Govt. Rules.

Number of Attempts:

  • There shall be no limitation on the number of attempts if a Candidate is eligible otherwise.
