Last 10 Days before SSC Steno Exam 2020:Tips and Preparation Strategy

Every preparation tip starts with a study schedule and a list of all important topics covered in the SSC Stenographer syllabus. Apart from these initial steps and self-analysis, other things are time management and the working speed of the candidates. For these mocks and previous years, papers are very important. Learn more about SSC Exam last days preparation from below:

Leave the uncovered Topics for good: Candidates are advised to never start a new topic in their last days of preparation as it can time consuming. Candidates can take some time off the preparation and make a list of all the topics in the SSC Syllabus. Mark the topics which you have covered and leave or cut all the topics remaining. Start your short revision for these topics you have covered like learning formulas or summary.

Revision: The most important phase of any preparation is Revision. If the important topics that you studied earlier are not properly revised, it is as good as not studied. The revision will help you memorize/ remember what you studied months back. Through the list that you have made start your revision and mark the topics revised one by one. This will brush up your knowledge and you will feel confident to appear for the exam. Now here the question arises, How to do the revision?

For mathematics, candidates can make a short booklet of all the formulas which can also be helpful during the examination day. For English revision, the earlier practice of reading and writing can be continued but this time only the topics in which you are strong.

We will not advise oral revision unless it is General Knowledge. Also, for efficient revision, we advise you to make GK sticky notes and paste them on your refrigerator or almirah, or anywhere in your room. Regular revision can be more effective than one-time mugging. For other subjects like Reasoning, always revise intermittently. Eg. Start with Coding-Decoding. If getting exhausted candidates can switch the topics, this way, you will not feel overburdened.

Mocks and Sectional Practice Paper: Haven't appeared for any mock?? This is high time!! Practicing mock tests will not only help you align your performance in accordance with the time but also increase question-solving speed. The more you attempt the mock test, the more you become efficient. Make a habit of attempting at least 1 mock test daily. If not one daily then candidates can at least attempt 3 mocks during the course of 10 days.

Your task doesn't end here. After attempting mock tests, go through the detailed solution of the questions you marked wrong. Try to find if that question can be solved by any shortcut method. Also along with mocks candidates can attempt the sectional mocks daily after their revision. Attempting mocks can help the candidates to have an experience of the examination day and can effectively improve their time management skills which can be very crucial considering these are the last days for the preparation.

Be positive: This line doesn’t concern any topics or subject but still following these 2 two words can help the candidates overcome all the anxiety and pressure that can develop only a few days remaining before the examination. Candidates should not get panic or be anxious, it won’t matter if you didn’t clear the examination as lakhs of candidates to appear in the exam and only less than 10% of candidates qualify. What matters is your preparation which is not only helping right now but also for the future.
