Select a task which you want to accomplish (First in your checklist)
This task should be the one that is first on your checklist. How do you prioritize your task? Always start your day with difficult tasks and then move to less difficult ones. The prime task should be dealt with high efficacy and energy. It also includes something which is boring for you. The difficult task may be a boring task for you or vice-versa.
Single-Minded Focus
Devote yourself fully to the task at hand. Keep your distractions at bay this time. If you encounter any, note it down to respond later. Give your hundred percent to the task for 25 mins without breaking the continuity.
Initiate your task
Pick the task, start the 25 mins timer and get to work. Remember, you do not have to break the continuity at this point. If your task is to go through the newspaper complete it in these 25 mins.
Reward your self-Pause for 5 Mins
Take a break upon accomplishment of a task. It should not exceed 5 minutes. Grab a glass of milk or coffee to refreshen yourself.
Repeat the cycle for Another Task
Follow the same cycle for another task. After you have completed four sessions like these, take a 20 min long break to rejuvenate.
When you are able to focus for a long time then you can increase the 25 min session with a 5 min break to 50 min session with 10 min break.
