SSC Stenographer exam is held to recruit candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade C and D for different ministries/departments/organisations. As it is a common exam for candidates who have successfully completed their Intermediate from a recognised board of the university, it attracts the attention of thousands of people. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern

The exam for SSC Stenographer is conducted in two stages. The written test and the SSC Stenographer Skill Test. The written test is objective in nature and consists of 200 questions for 200 marks to be finished in 2 hours. This is then followed by an SSC Stenographer Skill Test where candidates are given a dictation in English or Hindi for 10 minutes. They are required to type the dictation at the speed of 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C post and 80 words per minute for Grade D post.
