DSSSB DASS Grade 2 Job Profile

DSSSB DASS Grade 2 is equivalent to CGL post. 

• DASS Grade 2 is a Delhi govt. a job with posting being in Delhi only.
• The candidates who qualify DASS Grade 2 exam are posted in the Delhi govt office/department such as education, service,  health, food and supply, sales tax, state excise, etc.
• The designation of DSSSB DASS Grade 2 is that of Assistant Section Officer/Inspector or any other post that varies from department to department. 
• In the education department, he/she is known as the Head Clerk. 
• The nature of duties for DSSSB DASS Grade 2 varies as per the department in which he/she has been posted. 
• However, the candidates perform duties similar to the ones that is carried out by CSS in Central Secretariat. 

Candidates are promoted from DSSSB DASS Grade 2 to DASS Grade 1 post on the basis of the number of years into the service. 

• The promotion of DASS Grade 2 is done in 7 to 8 years of service. They are promoted to DASS Grade I.
• Once they are promoted to DASS Grade 1, the next promotion is after 10 years. 
• On being promoted to DASS Grade 1, the candidates are promoted to the rank of FSO in food & civil supplies, section officer/office superintendent in Secretariat, Tehsildar in the Revenue Dept. etc. Thus, the rank of the candidates varies as per the department where they have been posted. 
• After the 3rd promotion, i.e. DASS Grade1, the candidates are called DANICS (Delhi Andaman Nicobar Civil Services). 
• The terms DANICS implies that the candidates can be posted to the Andaman Islands as well as other Union Territories. DANICS is a Class A gazetted officer with more power and functions than before.
