SSC CGL Exam Analysis 18th April 2022 (All Shifts): Highlights

Before we jump on the questions asked in SSC CGL, let us have a look at the highlights of SSC CGL 2022 all shifts that were conducted on 18 April 2022.

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 1 18th April 2022 (Shift 1)

  • Overall the difficulty level of the exam was moderate.
  • Good number of attempts can be taken as 76 - 87.
  • The difficulty order of sections is as follows: Reasoning > Quantitative Aptitude > General Awareness > English.
  • As per students' feedback, Quantitative Section was moderate and 2 - 3 questions were calculative like cube questions from mensuration, table and chair questions from Profit loss etc.
  • English was the easiest section and the question pattern remained the same.
  • Cloze test was based on the story of a Fox and a Camel. Vocabulary questions were easy. 
  • Reasoning section was moderate. Students could solve 20-21 questions easily but struggled to solve 4-5 questions, especially finding the missing term questions based on a matrix. 
  • General awareness was moderate in difficulty level. 
  • There were 4 to 5 current affairs questions that were asked mainly from books and authors, budget and sports.

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 2 18th April 2022 (Shift 2)

  • The overall good number of attempts is 76-87 and the difficulty level of the paper was moderate.
  • The difficulty order of the sections was as follows: Quantitative Aptitude > General Awareness > Reasoning > English language & Comprehension.
  • Cloze test was about Sports Ministry.
  • The Quant section was easy but a bit calculative. Students struggled to manage time.
  • Reasoning was moderate and a few questions were tricky.
  • General awareness was also moderate. A good number of questions were asked from economics based on basic concepts, GDP, Budget etc.

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 3 18th April 2022 (Shift 3)

  • The overall difficulty level of the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on 18 April 2022 was moderate.
  • A good number of attempts for the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 18 April can be taken as 75-81.
  • Section-wise difficulty order is as follows: General Awareness > Reasoning > Quantitative Aptitude > English.
  • English was easy to solve and candidates could easily attempt as many as 22-24 questions.
  • Quantitative aptitude was moderate and a bit calculative. 
  • Good number of attempts for the quantitative aptitude section is expected to be 19-22. 
  • Reasoning was calculative and students could attempt 18-20 questions.
  • General awareness was a bit difficult and the good number of attempts can be taken as 17-20.
  • Around 4-5 current affairs questions were seen.
  • Cloze test was based on listening to speakers.

  • The overall good number of attempts is 77-85 and the difficulty level of the paper was Easy-moderate.
  • The difficulty order of the sections was as follows: General Awareness > Quantitative Aptitude  > Reasoning > English language & Comprehension.
  • Cloze test was about - Women's Safety
  • The Quant section was easy but a bit calculative.
  • Reasoning was easy.
  • General Awareness was also moderate. There was a Good number of questions asked about previous years current affairs. 

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 3 13th April 2022 (Shift 3)

  • The overall difficulty level of the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 13th of April 2022 was Moderate
  • A good number of attempts for the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 13th of April can be taken as 77-85
  • Section-wise difficulty order of the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 13th of April is as follows: General Awareness > Quantitative Aptitude > Reasoning and English

SSC CGL Exam Analysis 12th April 2022 (All Shifts): Highlights

Before we jump on the questions asked let us have a look at the highlights of SSC CGL 2022 all shifts that were conducted on 12th April 2022.

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 1 12th April 2022 (Shift 1)

  • The difficulty order of the sections was as follows: Quantitative Aptitude > General Awareness > Reasoning > English language & Comprehension.
  • Overall, students could attempt as many as 78 - 86
  • Quant Section was Moderate but a few questions were a bit calculative but doable.
  • English continues to be the favourite section of students and was the easiest to solve.
  • English Cloze test was based on the story of an old man living in a village. 
  • The general awareness section was moderate.
  • In general awareness, only 4-5 current affairs questions were there. Questions from 2020 current affairs as well about the Nobel Prize for Literature 2022.
  • The reasoning was moderate, around 1-2 questions were tricky.

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 2 12th April 2022 (Shift 2)

  • The overall good number of attempts are 75-83 and the difficulty level of the paper was moderate.
  • The difficulty order of the sections was as follows: General Awareness > Quantitative Aptitude  > Reasoning > English language & Comprehension.
  • Cloze test was about Marie Curie
  • Quant section was moderate but a bit calculative
  • Reasoning was moderate
  • General Awareness was also moderate. There were 4 to 5 current affairs questions asked from the 2021 event. 

SSC CGL Exam Analysis Shift 3 12th April 2022 (Shift 3)

  • The overall difficulty level of the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 12th of April 2022 was Moderate
  • A good number of attempts for the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 12th of April can be taken as 76-82
  • Section-wise difficulty order of the SSC CGL shift 3 exam conducted on the 12th of April is as follows: General Awareness > Quantitative Aptitude > Reasoning and English
  • English was easy to solve and candidates could easily attempt as many as 22-24
  • Quantitative Aptitude was moderate and a bit calculative.

  1. In a triangle, ABC BD is an angle bisector of angle B and D is a point on AC. If AB = 12 cm, BC = 18 cm and AC = 15 cm then find the value of AD.
  2. The marked price of an article is Rs 588. After giving a discount of 32% there is a profit of Rs 25, find the profit percentage.
  3. If A, B and C can do a certain work in 10 days, 12 days and 15 days respectively, then in how many days do they all together complete the total work.
  4. If a + b + c = 11, ab + bc + ca = -6 and a3 + b3 + c3 = 1001, then abc = ?
  5. Two points are at a distance of 72 cm and 128 cm away from the building and are on the same side. The angle of elevations of the building from the two points is complementary to each other. Find the height of the building.
  6. Find the value of [(1-cotA)/(tanA -1)]2 - 1

  • There was no para jumble and sentence re-arrangement in the English section.
  • General awareness section was moderate.  
  • In general awareness, only 3 - 4 current affairs questions were there.
