Transfer: There are two types of transfer available in the dept.

  1. Annual General Transfer
  2. Inter Charge Transfer

The transfer is possible, but it doesn’t happen easily. There are several points which must be in your favour, such as:

  • There must be vacancies in the zone you want to get transferred to.
  • Either you must have valid grounds for applying for ICT cited in the CBDT circular or else 3 years of service.
  • The administration of both zones must be cooperative and liberal.

Work Timings: Work in the hours defined by the department and go home at the right time. Generally, office timing for Government employees is 9:00 am–5:00 pm. But in some special cases, like an impending raid or search, you may have to work for longer and uncertain durations.
