  • Pronunciation: pri-see-ding/ प्रीसीडिंग

  • Meaning:
    a. existing or coming before
    b. of a person who has held and relinquished a position or office
  • Synonyms: prior, previous, foregoing 
  • Antonyms: subsequent, succeeding, following
  • Usage in a sentence: The preceding parts of the movie franchise suffered massive losses due to piracy.

5. Word: Proxy (प्रतिनिधि)

  • Pronunciation: prok-see/ प्राक्सी
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning:
    a. the agency, function, or power of a person authorized to act as the deputy or substitute for another.
    b. the person so authorized; substitute; agent.
    c. a written authorization empowering another person to vote or act for the signer, as at a meeting of stockholders.
    d. an ally or confederate who can be relied upon to speak or act in one's behalf.

  • Usage in a sentence: A security protocol used to communicate through a firewall or proxy server was breached.

    b. a visible scene, especially one extending to a distance; vista:

  • Antonyms: befuddlement, perspectiveless, horizonless

7. Word: Traction (खिंचाव)

  • Pronunciation: trak-shuhn/ ट्रैक्शन

  • Meaning:
    a. the adhesive friction of a body on some surface, as a wheel on a rail or a tire on a road.
    b. the action of drawing a body, vehicle, train, or the like, along a surface, as a road, track, railroad, or waterway.
