    c. to rise to or form an apex; terminate
  • Synonyms: peak, climax, end, conclude

8. Word: Abate (उपशमन करना)

  • Pronunciation: uh-beyt/अबेट
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to reduce in amount, degree, intensity

    c. to deduct or subtract

The warden put a full stop on the gross stories of our fellow roomate which was not only creepy but also gruesome on some extent. Few conspired interruptions did helped in abatement of the hideous imagination. But the clamoured fillip by some revanchist resurrected the prior horror once again. But no sooner or later warden saved our day.
