PSSSB Steno Recruitment 2022: Notification, Apply Online, Exam Date

PSSSB Steno Recruitment 2022: PSSSB has released a recruitment notification for the post of PSSSB Steno Typist and Junior Scale Stenographer. Candidates who have passed their graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply online for the PSSSB Steno Typist 2022 Recruitment from 6 January to 5 February 2022. Further, the candidates must have studied Punjabi language in matriculation as well. A total of 334 vacancies have been released by the Board for the post of Steno and Junior Steno posts on its official website which is sssb.punjab.

The selection of the candidates shall be done on through a shorthand skill test only. The exam date for the PSSSB Steno recruitment is not yet announced. The steps to apply for the PSSSB Steno recruitment 2022 has been given below along with the application fee.

Steps to Apply Online for PSSSB Steno Typist 

Step 1: Visit the official website of PSSSB. 

Step 2: Click on the recruitment tab that appears on the homepage and then on the  “PSSSB Steno Typist Recruitment 2022”.

Step 3: Click on the "Apply Now link for PSSSB Steno online form”  and select the post for which you want to apply. 

Step 4: Enter all the personal details, other details and complete the registration for the PSSSB Steno 2022 exam.

Step 5: Upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature as per the prescribed format. 

Step 7: Pay the PSSSB Steno Typist application fee application fee and download/print the finally submitted application form for future reference.

The PSSSB Steno Salary is given below for the following posts. The selected candidates shall be given a salary as per the 7th pay commission. 

The eligibility criteria for the PSSSB Steno Typist and Junior Scale Stenographer is given below. You must fulfil the educational qualification and age limit to be able to apply for the exam. 

PSSSB Steno Educational Qualification

• You must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. 
• You should have at least 120 hours course and working experience in the use of the computer or IT in office productivity applications or desktop publishing applications from a recognised university or a reputed institute. 
• You must have a certificate in ‘O’ Level from the Department of DOEACC.

• You must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the subjects or its equivalent level.

Age Limit for PSSSB Steno Typist Exam

The age limit for the PSSSB Steno-Typist recruitment 2022 exam is 18 years to 37 years as on 1.1.2022. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates who are residents of Punjab only as per govt. rules. 

The PSSSB Steno 2022 selection process will involve a Punjabi stenographer dictation test for the post of PSSSB Steno Typist and PSSSB Jr. Scale Stenographer. 

You must note that 8% mistake in the shorthand skill test is forgivable. 

Thus, the selection of the candidates shall be done on the basis of their performance in the skill test only. We have provided the following template as a reference for you. 

In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the shorthand skill test of the PSSSB Steno Typist 2022 exam, then the merit list will be decided on the following factors: 

• The date of birth of candidates with equal marks in this regard will be considered and the merit of the older candidate will be considered. 
• If there is equality in age, the merit of the candidate will be considered on the basis of the percentage of educational qualification 

If the dispute is not resolved even after considering the two factors mentioned above, then the candidates who get higher marks in Class 10 shall be considered for further selection.
