CISF Head Constable Selection Process 2021

CISF Head Constable Selection Process is explained to you here in detail. It is important to know the CISF Head Constable selection process for the candidates who will be appearing for the CISF Head Constable exam 2021. Candidates have to clear each round or stage of the selection process to be appointed as a head constable in CISF. The CISF Head Constable Selection Process comprises of the follwoing stages in order. 

  • Physical Standard Test (PST)/Documentation
  • Written exam
  • Skill Test
  • Medical Examination and Review of Medical Examination
  • Final Merit List

CISF Head Constable Physical Standard Test (PST)/Documentation

The first stage of the CISF selection process is the physcial standard test (PST) followed by documentation. The CISF PST and documentation are conducted on the same day. The candidates who do not fulfill any condition will be disqualified from appearing in the subsequent round of selection as well.

The height, weight and chest measurements of the cadidates will be determined in this round. Candidates must make sure that they fulfill the given requirements for the physical standard test for CISF Head Constable 2021 exam.

CIST Head Constable Documentation

All the candidates who will clear the CISF HC PST will appear for the documentation. The documentation round of the CISF Head Constable will be used to scrutinize all the documents such as your marksheets, caste certificate (if any) date of birth, etc. You should be in possesion of all the documents when you appear for the CISF head constable documentation round.

CISF Head Constable Written Exam

The second round of the CISF Head Constable selection process is the written test, which will be either OMR or Computer Based. The exam will be objective types carrying 100 marks for 100 questions. There will be total four sections, namely- General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Arithmetic and English/Hindi. The test will be bilingual, that means it will be available both in Hindi and English. The qualifying marks of General/ESM is 35% while for SC/ST/OBC is 33%.

Qualifying Marks for CISF Head Constable Written Exam

The candidates will have to obtain the following marks as per their category when they appear for the CISF Head Constable written exam.

  • General & Ex-serviceman: 35% 
  • ST/OBC/SC: 33% 

CISF Head Constable Skill Test

The candidates who will qualify the CISF HC written test will have to appear for the skill test whcih will be a typing test. Candidates will have to take the typing test in English or Hindi as per their choice marked by them in CISF HC application form. The specifications for the typing test are given below. 

  • English typing test: 35 words per minute (wpm) in 10 minutes.
  • Hindi typing test: 30 words per minute (wpm) in 10 minutes.

CISF Head Constable Medical Examination

The medical examination for CISF Head Constable is used to determine the fitness level of the candidates. Candidates will be declared ‘Fit’ or ‘Unfit’ under this stage based on their medical condition. The medically fit candidates will be shortlisted for the merit list. 

CISF Head Constable Merit List

After the CISF has conducted all the rounds of the selection process, it will prepare a merit list. The merit list for CISF HC will be prepared on the basis of the marks score by the candidates in the written exam. The CISF Head Constable merit list will be prepared for the General, SC, ST, OBC, LDCE, Women and Ex-servicemen separately as per the vacancies. 

CISF Head Constable Final Selection

The final selection for the CISF Head Constable 2021 will be made on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the written exam. The other criteria for the selection process for CISF HC are qualifying in nature.
