- Candidates for the 2ndStage CBT will be shortlisted based on the normalized marks obtained by them in 1st Stage CBT and the choice filled by them for various posts will be exercised considering the educational qualification of the candidate i.e. 10+2 or Graduate.
- The number of candidates selected would be round 20 times the number of community-wise openings of positions notified against the RRB based on their merit in the first stage CBT cum choice of postings. - 1/3 mark of negative marking will be used for each incorrect response. The section-wise distribution shown in the above table is merely suggestive, and there may be some changes in the real question papers.
- Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS40%, OBC (Non creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them. The normalized marks scored by the candidate in the 2nd stage CBT shall be used for shortlisting the candidates for document verification for the posts which do not have Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test.
- For jobs requiring a Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test, the candidate's normalised marks from the second stage CBT will be utilised to select applicants for the Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test.
- Shortlisting for Skill Tests such as Computer-Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test must be limited to 8 times the number of openings (this number may be increased or decreased as per the requirement of the Railway Administration) based on the merit of the candidates in 2nd Stage CBT.
