  • They are now the only side who are the defending ODI and T20 World Cup champions.
  • Sam Curran was named Player of the Match as well as Player of the series.
  • Most runs: Indian batsman Virat Kohli (296)

2. Sri Lanka to host U19 Men's T-20 World Cup 2024

  • International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the venue for Under-19 Men's and Women's T-20 World cup.
  • Under-19 Men's:
    • The 2024 Under -19 men’s T-20 World Cup will be hosted by Sri Lanka.
    • The 2026 edition will be staged in Zimbabwe and Namibia.
  • Under-19 Women's:
    • The 2025 Under -19 women’s T20 World Cup will be held in Malaysia and Thailand.
    • The 2027 Under -19 women’s event will be jointly hosted by Bangladesh and Nepal.

3. Natasa Pirc Musar becomes first female president of Slovenia

  • Pirc Musar has secured 54% of the votes, while her rival, former Foreign Minister Andze Logar has won 46%.

  • She campaigned on human rights, the rule of law and social welfare issues.
  • She had also represented former US first lady, Melania Trump in copyright and other cases in her native Slovenia.

  • DigiLocker has successfully integrated with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, so that users can digitally store their health records and link them with their Ayushman Bharat health account.
  • Aim: Digital Empowerment of citizens by providing access to authentic digital documents.
  • The issued documents in the DigiLocker system are deemed to be at par with the original physical documents.
  • With this, users can now utilize DigiLocker as a Personal Health Records app.
