REET 2022 Revised Syllabus 2022 for Level 1 & 2

REET 2022 Syllabus: Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan has declared the REET 2022 Exam date and Notification on 11th April 2022. Now, the Board has released the detailed REET Syllabus 2022 on its official website on 12th April 2022. As per the notification, The REET 2022 exam will be going to conducted on 23rd July 2022 & 24th July 2022 in various districts of Rajasthan. Thus, the candidates start checking out the REET syllabus for Level-1 and Level-2 and the REET exam pattern to ensure they understand the extent of the content they need to cover.

REET Exam Pattern 2022

Candidates who intend to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II). But before appearing in the Exam yo you have to know about the REET Syllabus in detail. This will help them to strategize their preparation.

  • Family – Personal relationships, nuclear and joint families, social abuses (child marriage, dowry system, child labour, theft); addiction (intoxication, smoking) and its personal, social, and economical bad effects.
  • Clothes and Habitats – Clothes for different seasons; maintenance of clothes at home; handloom and power loom; habitats of living beings, various types of houses; cleanliness of houses and neighbouring areas; Different types of materials for building houses.

FAQs on REET 2022 Syllabus

  • Yes, BSER has revised the REET Exam Scheme for Paper-1 and Paper-2 which has been discussed in the article in detail. The candidates will have to solve 150 questions of 300 marks in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Rajasthan Board has now introduced a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer.

  • Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each incorrect answer. Earlier REET exams didn't have any sort of deduction over wrong answers, but from REET 2022 for every incorrect answer marks will be deducted. This makes this exam bit tough and now students will have to be extra cautious while answering the questions.

  • The Level-1 paper of the REET exam consists of 6 sections. The first sections will be Geographical, Historical, and Cultural Knowledge of Rajasthan. The second section will have General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009, Current Affairs. The third section comprises of School Subjects (विद्यालय विषय) followed by the Education Methodology of language in the fourth section.  Educational Psychology and Information Technology in the fifth and sixth sections respectively.

  • The time period for solving the question papers is not changed and will remain the same as the earlier REET exam. Candidates will have 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) to attempt the exam of each level. Due to changes in the exam pattern now the candidates will have to work on their speed sp that they can finish the examination in time.

  • No there are some changes in the syllabus for both paper-1 and paper-2.

    Candidates preparing for both papers should be careful while preparing for the exam.

  • The questions from this section will be based on the basics of computers. These questions will be helpful in testing the candidates' knowledge of IT. The topics for REET Information Technology Syllabus are not updated yet. We will update it as soon as the officials release the revised syllabus for it.

  • The REET question paper will be 300 marks. From REET 2022 for every correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded. So the total number of questions will be 150 and the maximum number of marks will become 300. This makes the exam more competitive and the cut-off marks will vary from the earlier years.
