RJS Exam Pattern 2022
The Rajasthan High Court has released the RJS Exam Pattern with the notification. The Rajasthan Judiciary Exam has three rounds viz., Preliminary exam, the Main exam, and the Interview round. The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature. The candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the mains exam and the interview. This examination can be given in both English and Hindi.

The Judiciary Exam is conducted for aspirants who want to join the Judicial Service and become a Civil Judge in Rajasthan. This exam is open to law graduates who desire to work as civil judges. Rajasthan Judicial Service Competitive Examination is held by the Rajasthan High Court to select candidates for various vacancies in legal positions and Civil Judge posts.
Rajasthan Judiciary Exam 2022 Selection Process
The Rajasthan High Court has defined the selection process of the Judiciary services exam in line with the other state judiciary services exams. The exam involves three stages prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. The RJS Prelims Exam is objective in nature whereas the Rajasthan Judiciary Mains Exam is all subjective. The personal interview is conducted by a panel to check personality and Law knowledge. The stages are
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Written Main Examination (Subjective Type)
- Interview

RJS Civil Judge Exam Pattern 2022 for Mains
Those who pass the RJS prelims exam are entitled to take the RJS judiciary mains exam. The mains examination will consist of subjective/narrative style questions and will be divided into four exams. Candidates will have three hours to complete (180 minutes) each paper.
As per the Rajasthan High Court Civil Judge Mains Exam Pattern, the following subjects will be covered in the Main Exam:
- Law Paper-I
- Law Paper-II
- Languages: Hindi Essay (Paper III) and English Essay (Paper IV)
The minimum qualifying percentage in the Mains exam is 40%.
Each paper will be conducted in its own time slot, as indicated in the table.

RJS Viva-voce Interview 2022
The appropriateness for employment as an RJS Civil Judge will be assessed throughout the interview process, which would be based on the candidate's academic, college, and university records and his or her character, personality, and physical appearance. The questions posed may be general and not essentially academic or legal in character.
To be qualified for the final selections ranking, you must participate in the Viva Voce. As per the RJS Exam Pattern 2022, the aggregate marks from the Main exam and the Viva Voce will be used to make selections for and prepare the final merit list.
During the personal interview, the candidate will be asked questions to assess their general knowledge, which will include current events issues. Marks will also be given for the candidate's fluency in Rajasthani dialects and awareness of Rajasthani social traditions. Only if you score more than 35% in both the Prelims and Mains exams you will get shortlisted for an Interview/ Viva-Voce. The interview is worth a total of 35 points.
