RRB NTPC CBT-2 is going to conduct RRB NTPC Tier 2 Exam on 9th & 10th May 2022 for Level Pay 4 & 6. The total vacancies of RRB NTPC are revised from 35,208 to 35,281 out of which the total vacancies of Commercial Apprentice for 2022 are 259. Eligibility Criteria for RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice
The Educational Qualification required for RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice is Graduation Degree from any Discipline from any Recognized University or Equivalent and the Age limit is from 18-30 years while relaxation is provided to the Reserved candidates of up to 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.
Selection Criteria for RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice
The Selection Procedure for RRB NTPC-Commercial Apprentice is basically a four-step process in which the steps of the examination are described below:
- Stage 1: Computer Based Test 1 (CBT-Online)
- Stage 2: Computer Based Test 1 (CBT-Online)
- Stage 3: Document Verification
- Stage 4: Medical Examination

Salary for RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice
Commercial Apprentice is a Level-6 Job Profile under the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Railways generally provide lucrative salaries to their employees and it is one of the topmost profiles provided through the RRB NTPC Exam in the Indian Railways along with the Stationmaster Profile. Note: The Salary Slip of the Commercial Apprentice is of 2019 and since then the DA has been revised to 34% which increases the Gross Salary.
Job Profile for RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice
The Job Profile of RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice is basically a multiskilled Supervisor Profile in Commercial Department, who performs the following Duties:
- They are in charge of Commercial Duties and Inspection work in Indian Railways.
- Sometimes, they are in charge of Collecting Revenue.
- Commercial Apprentice works as Goods Supervisor, Parcel Supervisors, Rates & Claims Inspector, Commercial Inspectors etc.
- They are also responsible for Goods transferred by Indian Railways.
- Training Period: The training period for the RRB NTPC Commercial Apprentice is of 80 days in which supervisorial and inspectional training is given to the candidates and then after 80 days they are appointed to the following given Posts in Indian Railways.
