Paper Analysis & Cutoff

JEE Advanced is the examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technologies selecting for different IITs across the country. Last year there was a total of 1.5 Lac students who qualified for JEE Advanced 2015 out of which many got selected in IITs Bachelors as well as Dual Degree Program.
 

JEE Advanced 2015 Analysis-

Paper-1

  • Section-I of the PAPER 1 had 8 questions with Integer Type answers, ranging from 0 to 9- marking scheme for this section was +4 for correct answer and 0 for all other cases.
  • Section 2 of the question paper had 10 multiple choice questions with one or more than one correct option– marking scheme for the section was +4 for correct answer, 0 if not attempted and -2 in all other cases.
  • Section 3 had 2 “Match the Following” questions, marking scheme for this section was+2 for the correct answer, 0 if not attempted and -1 in all other cases

 
Paper-2

  • Section 1 of PAPER 2 also had 8 questions with Integer Type answers (ranging from 0 to 9) – marking scheme for this section was was+4 for correct answer and 0 for all other cases.
  • Section 2 had 8 Multiple choice questions with one or more than one correct option – marking scheme for this section was + 4 for correct answer, 0 if not attempted and -2 in all other cases.
  • Section 3 had two “Paragraph Type” questions, where each paragraph describes an experiment or a problem. Two multiple choice questions were asked based on the paragraph with one or more than one option correct in each question. Marking scheme was +4 for the correct answer, 0 if not attempted and -2 in all other cases.

In JEE Advance 2015 it was observed that mainly the questions were ask from class 12th syllabus and class 11 was having less weightage.
 

JEE Advanced 2016 Analysis-

Among all the IITs, one particular IIT takes the responsibility of framing the question paper every year and this year its IIT Guwahati along with CBSE which conducted JEE Advance 2016.
On 22 May 2016, over two lac students appeared for this prestigious exam. The examination consisted of two papers.

 

JEE, being considered as the toughest Engineering examination, paves the path for students to get into India’s premier institutes like IIT and ISM.

The total weight age of each paper was 186 marks making it a total of 372 marks with a total of 54 questions.
 
#-In the paper of JEE Mains 2016, 30 per cent questions were easy, 48 per cent were moderate and only 22 per cent were difficult.
