Know all about OTA Gaya: OTA Gaya, which was established in July 2011, is the Indian Army’s third pre-commission training (PCT) school, with a targeted training capacity of 750 cadets. The academy’s goal is to prepare Gentlemen Cadets to join the Indian Army’s professionally competent commissioned officer cadre. The academy is situated on an estate of approximately 870 acres in Paharpur, Gaya’s hilly terrain. A flag hoisting ceremony was held to commemorate the academy’s opening, and the consecration of the academy’s rising was carried out in the real secular spirit of the Indian Army, with readings from holy texts of all religions.

The school has state-of-the-art training facilities comparable to those found in other pre-commissioning training institutions. The Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya’s emblem has a two-colour based background, with the upper half grey in colour and the lower half in blood-red colour, with the two cross swords overlaid on the Dharmchakra. The academy’s motto is written in Devnagri on a scroll below: Shaurya, Gyan, Sankalp.

The academy trained the first batch of 149 trainee-officers from July 2011 to June 2012, and the inaugural passing out parade was held on June 8, 2012. The second class graduated on December 8, 2012, after successfully completing their course (January 2012 to December 2012). On December 8, 2012, 176 cadets from the TES 26 and SCO 29 courses graduated.
