How to Apply Online for OSSSC Recruitment 2021?
- All eligible persons who have not registered themselves earlier for any previous recruitment of the Commission have to register must register by clicking “Register” on Home Page – osssc.gov.in
- Candidates can also register again by clicking the “Re-registration” icon
Note: the details can be viewed by clicking on “How do I register/re-register/apply?” Read the instructions carefully before filling up the Registration and Online Application Forms.
Key requisites
- Signature – scanned in “jpg/jpeg/png” format between the ranges of 20 Kbs to 50 Kbs shall be kept for up-loading
- Passport photo – 20 Kbs to 100 Kbs
Note: the photograph and full specimen scanned for uploading must be clearly identifiable/ visible, otherwise the “Registration or Re-registration” is likely to get rejected.
- Keep the certificates and mark sheets ready during Online Application
- Keep personal e-mail ID and Mobile number with validity till completion of the recruitment process for receiving all important communications such as Activation Key, various alerts, etc.
Documents required
- Caste Certificate in a case seeking reservation
- HSC examination (10+2) certificate
- Certificate of passing Odia language subject in the final examination of Class VII
- Discharge of service certificate in case of Defense Personnel
- Character Certificate from the school where last studied

OSSSC Group C Eligibility Criteria 2021
The age and the educational qualification have been specified with respect to the posts offered. The details are shared as follows:

Note: The candidate must have prescribed minimum educational qualification as of the closing date of submission of the online application.
Age relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women Category.
- For Defense personnel, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years
Exceptions: The persons in the Defense service having more than 6 months to retire or to be discharged from service as on the last date of the submission of online application are not eligible to apply for the post.

Examination Fee: No Examination Fee is payable to apply for these posts.
Place and Date of the Written Examination
- The date and time will be notified through admit cards. The tentative examination month is November 2021. The OSSSC Recruitment 2021 will be conducted across the Odisha State in all the districts.
Note: the candidates are advised to visit the website at regular intervals for the updates
OSSSC 2021 Admit Card
- The commission will not send any printed admit cards. Candidates are advised to download from the website and the admit card release will be communicated well in advance.
OSSSC Recruitment 2021 Exam Pattern
The OSSSC Recruitment will be carried out in three stages:
- Written Test
- Document Verification
- Interview
Written Test
There shall be a written test of 180 marks (MCQ type in OMR system), subject-wise weightage is defined as follows:

Note Negative marking = 0.5 marks for every wrong attempt. The minimum qualifying marks for ST/SC, PWD, ex-Servicemen, and Sports Person candidates shall be 30% and the candidates belonging to the general category will have to secure 35% marks.
- Document verification and Physical Test
- Candidates are permitted for the Physical Test based on their performance in the written test and when it is ensured that they possess all the required documents.
The Physical Tests include:
- Physical Test comprising of Physical Standard Measurement (PSM) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for recruitment of Forest Guard and Excise Constable.
Note: Document verification and Physical Test is conducted at District Headquarters.
OSSSC Group C Result and Select List
- District-wise/ Division-wise/Appointing Authority-wise provisional select list will be drawn category-wise as per vacancies mentioned for each post. The allotment will be made based on

- Result of physical test
- Sport achievements
- NCC
- Choice or preference of post
- District per Division as exercised by candidates during counseling
