OPSC: Exam Date

The OPSC CS 2021 is a state-level offline examination. As one of the most coveted government jobs in the state, the competition here is very high. Therefore the recruitment process is also quite stringent to ensure only the best of the candidates are selected to fill up the posts. Please note that several events from OPSC CS Exam Calendar 2020 also stand postponed as an outcome of the outbreak. No notification regarding the same has been communicated as of date. The Odisha PSC 2020 Notification has released the important exam dates concerning the exam. You can find all the Important OPSC exam date  2021 for the Prelims Exam below. 

OPSC CS Exam Schedule 2021 has two parts. They are as follows.

• OPSC CS Prelims 2021
• OPSC CS Mains 2021

Only the aspirants who clear the OPSC CS Prelims Exam 2021 are eligible to take the OPSC CS Mains Exam 2021. The Mains Exam is then followed by an Interview. Candidates must note that the Odisha PCS Exam Schedule remains the same each year, however, the dates are yet to be announced. 

OPSC CS Prelims Exam Pattern 2021

The OPSC CS Prelims Exam 2021 consists of two papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 contain multiple-choice questions. Both the papers are objective type papers. The exam carries a total of 200 marks. The table hereunder shall you a clear picture of OPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2021.

OPSC conducts the Odisha Civil Service Exam 2021 in three stages. The exam pattern is similar to the UPSC Exam. 

Stage I: OPSC Prelims Exam 2021

Preliminary exam: it consists of 2 papers of objective type(MCQ).

• Paper I- General Studies(200 marks)

Note- The merit list of students in the mains exam will be based on the marks obtained in the Paper I.

• Paper-II: consist of aptitude questions and is for 200. It is a qualifying paper and candidates have to score 33% in the Paper-II otherwise their Paper I will not be evaluated.

Note- The duration of each paper is of 2 hours.

Stage II: OPSC Mains Exam 2021

Mains exam: consists of 5 compulsory papers and 4 optional papers(2 Optional Subjects)

Candidate have to select two optional subjects from the given list of optional subjects-

Stage III: OPSC OAS Personality Test

All those candidates who qualify the mains examination will be invited for a personality test i.e. the interview. The personality test will be of 250 marks. The test will judge candidates' mental alertness, clear and logical exposition, critical powers of assimilation, variety, and depth of interest, the ability for social cohesion and leadership and intellectual and moral integrity, the balance of judgment.

The final list of recommended candidates(Odisha Civil Services Examination) will be based on total marks obtained in the Mains examination and the personality test.
