OICL AO Exam Selection Procedure 2017 (Prelims, Mains, Interview)

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited has recently released employment notification for the post of Administrative Officers (Scale – I). There are total 300 vacancies under the OICL Administrative Officer (AO) Recruitment 2017.

OICL AO Selection Process 2017

OICL AO 2017 Exam will be held in three phases – Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam & Interview. Candidates are required to clear all three phases in order to get selected for Administrative Officer (Scale – I).

OICL AO Prelims Exam

The OICL AO Prelims exam will be of total 100 marks. Please note that the mode of examination is Online and the question paper is Objective Type. For each wrong answer, there will be the deduction of ¼ marks. Those candidates who will clear the Prelims will be informed for the next phase. OICL AO Mains Exam

OICL AO Mains exam will be held in two stages; Objective Tests & Descriptive Test. The examination mode for both the stages is Online. For each wrong answer, there will be the deduction of ¼ marks. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer and just after the completion of the Objective test, the Descriptive test will get started.

1) Objective Type (200 Marks)

The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks. For further information, please refer to the given below table:

2) Descriptive Type (30 Marks)

• Candidates will be asked to write Letter (10 marks) & Essay (20 marks). Please note that the Descriptive test will be in English. Also, the mode of examination is Online.
  
• Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately in order to get shortlisted for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview.
  
• Candidates are required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interviews or final selection.

OICL AO Interview

The shortlisted candidates at the end of Phase-II will then be called for an Interview. Please note that the weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20. The date, address of the venue, time & centre of Interview will be informed to the candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from the official website.
