OTET Eligibility Criteria 2021
Candidates can read the complete detail of OTET 2021 eligibility criteria here. Candidates have following minimum qualification shall be eligible for appearing in OTET:
Category - A
- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.El.Ed.). or
- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. or
- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or
- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). or
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). or
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
category - B
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). or
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or
- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or

How to apply for OTET 2021?
- You can apply the OTET 2021 application form through the direct link provided in the article or, visit the official website of Odisha Eligibility Test 2021 i.e., http://bseodisha.ac.in/
- Click on the “Online Application for OTET 2021” link.
- On clicking the link, a new page will open on which candidates need to click on the “Click Here for New Registration” link.
- Candidates need to enter details such as name, password, mobile number, and email ID and click on the “Submit” button.
- Thereafter, candidates will be successfully registered on the exam portal.
- After successful registration, candidates need to log in to their accounts using their registered email ID and password.
- The application form has the following six sections.
(a) Personal Information
(b) Eligibility Criteria
(c) Educational Qualification
(d) Address
(e) Information Sheet
(f) Payment & Declaration - Four sections from the beginning can be filled up one by one starting from (a) -> (b) -> (c) ->(d). However, after reaching section (d), one can again come back to “c”, “b” or “a” and update the information already entered.
- After correctly entering all the required four sections, click the section “Information Sheet” so that whatever the data entered by you can be displayed on the screen along with your photograph. Take a print out of the information sheet.
- Enter all the mandatory fields and upload the required certificates/ documents/ photos (jpg/jpeg/.jpg/.png) file within the specified size. Thereafter click the ‘SUBMIT’ button to go to the next stage i.e. “Eligibility Criteria”.
- Enter all the required fields under “Eligibility Criteria” and ‘SUBMIT’ to go to the next stage i.e. “Educational Qualification”.
- Candidates can appear in Paper-I or Paper-II or both the papers as per their eligibility. The candidates appearing in both Paper-I & II shall have to fill up the application form separately.
- The print of the “Information Sheet” can be downloaded and wherever correction is required that can be effected in the application. In case information submitted by you as seen from the “Information Sheet” is correct, click the “Next Payment & Declaration” button to go for “Declaration & Payment”.
- Payment can be made through Axis Bank Easy Pay only in the following three ways. Payment can be made through Axis Bank Easy Pay only Internet Banking/ Credit/ Debit Card/Cash payment through bank challan (Offline mode).
- For Offline (Cash) payment, generate Pay in Slip which is the Bank Challan form. The cash payment has to be done through the nearest branch of Axis Bank.
For offline cases, the candidate has to log out after payment is made and wait for a maximum of about the next 12 hours to submit the URN Number because this Number has to be authenticated by the server as regard to whether payment has been made through the said URN Number or not.
OTET Exam Pattern 2021
- There shall be two papers of the OTET: Paper-I and Paper-II.
- The total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2½ hours.
- All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer is correct.
- There will be no negative marking.
- The question papers in non-language subjects shall be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.
- Following languages shall be offered in Language – I:- Odia, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali. The candidate has to choose any one of the above languages for the Language-I subject.
- Language-II subject shall be English for all candidates.
