FAQs

  • The authorities consider various factors while determining the GATE cutoff for NIT Delhi. All the factors considered while determining NIT Delhi GATE cutoff are mentioned below-

    • Total number of aspirants for admission
    • Total number of applicants in GATE
    • The difficulty level of exam
    • Previous year cutoff trends
    • Category and course for which admission is desired
  • As per a recent development GATE authorities, have allowed BSc/BA/Bcom currently in the third year or already completed to be eligible for the exam. You need to write this exam first then you can apply at NIT.

  • These figures change year to year based on the number of new courses NITs offered, this will be updated soon by NIT Delhi Authorities.

  • The difference between part-time M.Tech, distance or correspondence M.Tech, and sponsored M.Tech is given below.

    • Part-time M.Tech is offered in many top institutes and universities as a part of continuing education programs.
    • Distance, correspondence, or online master's degree in engineering (M.Tech/ME). It’s a non-regular program you can do it from a different place.
    • Sponsored Maser degree in the engineering program. As the name suggests, it is sponsored by your current employer company. You don’t have to have a GATE score (having one is really advantageous) to take admission into this program and relatively less competition in institutes like IITB.
