The Prelims phase of NIACL Assistant Exam is expected to be conducted tentatively on 8th and 9th September 2018. This gives you approximately 50 days to prepare well for this exam. Preliminary Exam Pattern of NIACL Assistant 2018

The Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test) for 100 marks, would be of one-hour duration and will consist of 3 sections as follows:

Candidates will have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company.

Mains Exam Pattern of NIACL Assistant 2018

The structure of Main Examination (Online objective test) will be as follows -

The candidates will be required to obtain a minimum total score (as decided by the company) in the Mains Examinations.
Total marks obtained in Mains Exam shall be proportionately reduced to a base of 35 marks
Adequate number of candidates state-wise and category-wise as decided by the Company will be shortlisted for the Tier II-Main Examination.

NIACL Assistant Exam 2018 - Key Takeaways

Both Preliminary and Mains Exam of NIACL Assistant Exam 2018 will be conducted in Online Mode.
All the tests of Prelims and Mains exam, except for English Language Test will be available in Hindi as well as English.
Candidates qualifying in Online Mains Exam will be shortlisted and called for Regional Language Test before final selection.
No separate marks will be given for Regional Language Test. This test will only be qualifying in nature.
Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online Main examination subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test.
Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for online examinations & Regional Language Test.
There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the Prelims as well as Mains exam.
In case of equal marks scored by the last two or more candidates in the merit list, the candidate senior most in age will be shortlisted for further process of recruitment.

This section may also include questions on Books & authors, Currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days etc.
It would be advisable to go through the GK updates of at least last 3 - 4 months.
Do not forget to prepare for static GK part as well, especially the countries, their capitals and currencies (Try to focus especially on the countries that have been in news lately, for instance, the countries visited by our Prime Minister or President or with whom any major MoU has been signed).
