The Indian government founded NEIGRIHMS in 1987. It is designed as a graduate medical institution with AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. It is the first postgraduate medical institution in the Northeast region and the third established by India’s Family Health and Welfare Department. The main of this institute is to provide quality education to students for graduate and postgraduate programs in medical science. 

NEIGRIHMS is currently looking for the Junior Research Fellows to fill the vacant post under the two projects. NEIGRIHMS JRF 2021 – Qualification for Projects

Check all the qualifications required for both the projects mentioned below:

Project 1: 

Molecular characterisation of Salivary Gland tumours. A Comparative Study between AIIMS and North East India funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science &Technology, Government of India.

Education Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, preferably in Biotechnology/Medical Microbiology/Biochemistry.

Desirable Preferences: 

a. Candidates should have at least 6 months of working experience in Molecular Biology, PCR, ELISA and working in Hospital Setup.

b. CSIR NET, UGC NET, and GATE qualified students will be given more preference. 

Age Limit: The maximum age to apply for the JRF job should not be more than 35 Years. 

Duration of Project: The project’s duration will be 2 years, and it will be on a purely temporary basis.

Emoluments: Candidates will be given Rs. 35,960 during the period of the project.

Project 2: 

To analyze the molecular profile of pediatric gliomas and establish robust and economical methods for molecular subgrouping and risk stratification. funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science &Technology, Government of India.

Education Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, preferably in Biotechnology/Medical Microbiology/Biochemistry.

Desirable Preferences:

• Candidates can apply for both projects through a single mail, but they need to specify the project name in their application if interested in one project.

No applications will be accepted after the due date, i.e. 20-08-2021.

NEIGRIHMS JRF 2021 – Selection Process

• After sharing the resume/CV, candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experiences.
• After shortlisting, candidates will be called for an interview process.
• The interview process will be conducted online.
• After clearing the interview process, selected candidates will be called for document verification and selected for the post.

NEIGRIHMS JRF 2021 – Terms & Conditions

1. The above position is purely on a contractual basis. The job is to perform project-related work including data entry, laboratory related work included
   Molecular biology.
2. The terms and conditions of the employment contract are governed by the contractual relationship agreed between the institution and the employee.
3. Admitted candidates must undergo medical examinations before taking up their duties.
4. The ballot in any form will result in the disqualification of the candidate.
