The Air Force demands physical fitness of Airmen and hence it is compulsory to qualify the PFT. Below is the list of Tests which will be conducted:
- 1.6 km run within 6 min 30 sec
- 10 Sit-ups
- 20 Squats
- 10 Push-ups
Note: There will be no marks given for PFT, as it only of qualifying nature.
Adaptability Test-1:
Candidates passing the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will then proceed to the adaptability test where SRT (Situation Response Test) is conducted. Here a candidate's decision-making, response/reaction is assessed. A maximum of 45 SRTs is to be attempted for a period of 30 minutes. It tests a candidate's mindset in relation to the criteria established by the defence forces.
Adaptability Test-2:
Selected applicants must appear for Group Discussion after passing the Adaptability Test 1. This includes 10-15 candidates sitting in a group with a common topic assigned and discussing their views on it. An assessment tests a person's awareness and communication skills. Often, social qualities such as the ability to convince are tested.
After clearing all the rounds, Test Seriess are given to those candidates who are shortlisted along with the venue with the dates of medical exams.
Phase III of Airforce Group X & Y 2022
The applicants after passing the Adaptability Test 2, appear for medical examination where they are clinically tested and approved. Check the reference link below for more details:

All India Select Merit List (AISL):
All those applicants who have passed the medical test will then be shortlisted on the basis of marks and a merit list will be produced. A call letter is given to the candidates whose name is mentioned in the merit list and enrolled in the Indian Air Force in Belgavi, Karnataka.
