FAQs for NABARD Grade A & B Officer Exam - NABARD has released its notification for the recruitment of Assistant Managers in Grade –A in the NABARD Assistant Manager (RDBS & Rajbhasha Service)/ (Protocol & Security Service)/ (Rajbhasha Service) & NABARD Manager in Grade ‘B’ (Rural Development Banking Service).  A new scheme of selection will be introduced from this recruitment onwards. Many candidates have queries regarding the eligibility and Exam Pattern. So here we are making an attempt to clear their doubts.

NABARD has released its notification for the recruitment of Assistant Managers in Grade –A in the NABARD Assistant Manager (RDBS & Rajbhasha Service)/ (Protocol & Security Service)/ (Rajbhasha Service) & NABARD Manager in Grade ‘B’ (Rural Development Banking Service).  A new scheme of selection will be introduced from this recruitment onwards. Many candidates have queries regarding the eligibility and Exam Pattern. So here we are making an attempt to clear their doubts.

FAQs for NABARD Grade A & B Exam

1. What is the eligibility criterion for recruitment?

The eligibility criterion is determined at two stages which are Age and Experience, Educational Qualification, and is determined as on and the limits mentioned under the above criteria are different for both the posts.

a) Age and Experience:

For Assistant Manager Grade A 

The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 01/07/2021, i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1991 and not later than 01/07/2000.

For Manager Grade B 

A candidate applying for this post should be between 25 years and 35 years. In addition, he/she must have a full-time experience of at least 3 years (02 years for SC/ST) as an Officer in Commercial / Cooperative / RRBs/ FIIs/Corporates /NBFCs.

Apart from this, the age relaxation as applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen is the same.

b) Educational Qualification:

The candidates with any of the following Educational qualifications can apply under the mentioned post.

For Assistant Manager Grade A – (should possess any of given below Qualification)

1. A candidate having Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters /years.

2. A candidate having a Master’s Degree in any discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate.

3. A candidate having Doctorate Degree.

4. A candidate having chartered / Cost Accountants / Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree.

5. A candidate having two Year Full-time PG Diploma in Management / MBA Qualification with Graduation / Bachelor's Degree.

Note: For SC/ST/PWD Candidates having a minimum of 45% aggregate are eligible.

For Manager Grade B – (should possess any of given below Qualification)

1. A candidate having first Master’s Degree in any discipline, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate.

2. A candidate having Doctorate Degree.

3. A candidate having chartered / Cost Accountants / Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree.

4. A candidate having two Year Full-time PG Diploma in Management / MBA Qualification with Graduation / Bachelor's Degree.

Note: For SC/ST/PWD Candidates having a minimum of 55% aggregate are eligible.

2. What is the selection process for recruitment?

The final selection will be made on the basis of your performance in-

Phase I Preliminary Exam: Online Objective Test

Phase II Main Exam: Online Objective & Online Descriptive Test

Phase III Interview

Note: Phase I is only Qualifying in nature.

3. What is the pattern of the exam?

NABARD Grade A Phase 1 exam pattern:

The pattern of the Main examination is as follows:

Paper-I- General English: (Descriptive - writing skills - online through the keyboard). The paper will have descriptive questions.

Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks
The analytical and drafting abilities of the candidate shall be assessed through this Descriptive Paper on General English comprising essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph writing & letter writing. (Common for Grade ‘A’ – RDBS, Rajbhasha, and Legal).

Paper-II (MCQ):

I) For Grade A (RDBS):
i) General Discipline as at (i) in Table 1 - Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India)
ii) Specialized Discipline

Duration: 1 ½ hrs. – 100 Marks

II) For Grade A Rajbhasha:
The paper will have multiple-choice questions.

Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks

Proficiency in Hindi including Translation from English to Hindi and Vice versa. The analytical and drafting ability of the candidate shall also be assessed from the descriptive paper.

III) For Grade A (Legal Services):
The paper will have multiple-choice questions.

Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks

The paper will be based on proficiency in interpreting various Laws viz., Banking, Negotiable Instruments, Company, Industrial and Cooperative Laws, Cyber laws, Commerce/Property transactions, Rural non-life insurance, direct financing, staff matters, and good experience and drafting various types of documents.

4. Can Final Year Students apply for this recruitment?

The candidate must possess the required educational qualification as on 01-07-2021. The result of the final term/semester/ year examination of the required educational qualification must have been declared on or before 01-07-2021. In other words, candidates whose final year/semester results have been declared on or after 01-07-2021 are not eligible to apply.

5. When will the NABARD 2021 exam be held?

The exam dates for NABARD Grade A & B are not announced yet. Once the authority releases the exam dates, you will be notified too.

6. Can a student apply for more than one post?

The candidate can apply only for ONE Post/Discipline of his / her choice. 

7. What is the last date of Online Registration for NABARD 2021?

The last date of online registration for the NABARD 2021 exam is 17th July 2021.

8. When did NABARD 2021 Online Registration begin?

The online registration for NABRD 2021 exam started on 17th July 2021.

Sir.. As it mentioned above phase 1 is qualifying in nature, does it mean no merit will be made for qualifying in phase 2..?
