How much time should be given to study CSAT?

CSAT should also be taken from the day you start studying GS for PRELIM. 30% of the daily time must be paid to CSAT without fail. Since most of the GS of PRELIM is in MAINS, it is still a study, but since CSAT is a completely new subject, 30% time should be given. That’s about 3 hours a day.

How much importance should be given to passages for MPSC CSAT?

One of the biggest mistakes of students is that they spend a lot of time solving problems of quantitative aptitude, which is less than 20 out of 80. And passages that do not get around 50 marks are ignored. Therefore, 50% of the time of csat should be spent on studying the passage. Without it, csat cannot be scored

How to study MPSC CSAT?

When starting the study, sit down and solve the paper time of the last 2 years. Then analyze those papers for 2 hours. Take a good look at how many questions were solved in the first and second papers, how many remained, and why remained. Note the types of important questions. Make a list of what you gathered, what you gathered, what you didn’t gather at all.

Does the MPSC CSAT be difficult for Arts degree holders?

With this biggest misconception in mind, many non-engineering graduates ignore CSAT and focus on GS. But in the CSAT paper, 50 questions are on passages 5 decision making, 10 puzzle types. Arts and engineering degree holders are equally adept at any of these. Of the remaining 15 questions, non-engineering students can get good marks in practice. Therefore, one should not form an opinion about the subject before studying.

According to a recent circular issued to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, paper number two (CSAT) in the MPSC State Pre-Service Examination will now be qualifying in nature only. The marks will not be included in the main examination cutoff list.

Important Links for MPSC Rajyaseva (State Services) Prelims Exam 21 August 2022 –

The MPSC Commission has decided to accept Paper Number Two (CSAT) in the pre-service examination 2022 only for eligibility (minimum 33% marks). Apart from this decision, no other changes will be made in the form of pre-service and main examination at present.
राज्यसेवा पूर्व परीक्षा 2022 पासून प्रस्तुत परीक्षेतील पेपर क्रमांक दोन(CSAT) हा केवळ पात्रतेसाठी (किमान 33 टक्के गुण) ग्राह्य धरण्याचा निर्णय आयोगाने घेतला आहे. सदर निर्णयाव्यतिरिक्त राज्यसेवा पूर्व व मुख्य परीक्षेच्या स्वरुपात अन्य कोणताही बदल सद्यस्थितीत करण्यात येणार नाही.

2013 पासून MPSC राज्यसेवा पूर्व ही 400 गुणांची परीक्षा घेतली जात होती ज्यामध्ये 2 पेपर असायचे:

MPSC CSAT Study Material

The MPSC Rajyaseva Preliminary examination comprises two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each. The first paper is the General Studies (GS) paper, and the second paper is the Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). Candidates must appear in General Studies papers 1 & 2 at the Prelim Test stage.

MPSC CSAT Exam Pattern

The questions of the MPSC CSAT paper are of multiple choices question type.
They are the objective type of 80 (MCQs) questions.
The time allotted for the MPSC CSAT paper is 2 hours.
Each question of the MPSC CSAT paper carries 2.5 marks.
Total marks for the CSAT paper 200 marks.
Wrong answers carry negative marks.
There is no negative marking system for Decision Making Problems.
However, no marks will be deducted if a question is left unattempted/unanswered.

Importance of MPSC CSAT Paper

Candidates prefer to solve this CSAT paper in time to be eligible for the main examination as it is the subject that gets maximum marks.

Candidates solve questions based on IQ tests and arithmetic very quickly from which point of view they apply their decision-making ability, and the decision-making process according to the given situation checks whether the candidate is eligible to become an administrative officer.
