Answer: C. M 20
Table of content
Minimum Grade of Concrete for RCC is M 20.
Solution
Grade of concrete represents the characteristics compressive strength of concrete such as M 20 represents the concrete which has characteristics compressive strength of 20 MPa.
Concrete which are used in RCC work, should be a minimum grade of M 20 in normal conditions. And concrete should have a minimum of M 30 grade when it is used at the sea coast.
Constituents of the M 20 grade of concrete are 1:1.5:3. It means that 1 part of cement requires 1.5 part of fine aggregate and 3 part of coarse aggregate to make the M 20 grade of concrete. Hence, minimum grade of concrete for RCC is M 20.
