NEET Exam Pattern 2021

NEET 2021 has already seen a lot of aspirants in the country. NEET 2021 is an exam which is to be taken by the candidates to take admission in courses like BDS, MBBS and AYUSH. The application process for NEET 2021 is going to be an online process. The conducting body of NEET 2021 IS National Testing Agency (NTA) which decides the conducting process of the exam. According to NTA, NEET 2021 exam will be pen-paper exam i.e. offline mode exam. NEET 2021 is likely to take place in the first week of May 2021. The candidates are suggested to buck up with the preparation and make yourself exam-ready.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern - Detailed Information

NEET 2021 Exam pattern is very integral in performing with utmost efficiency. The exam pattern lay down the examination system rules and provides an understanding to the candidates about how the exam pattern works. The exam pattern tells about the different sections, types of questions, number of questions and subjects. 

  • The exam is in offline mode and will be a pen-paper based exam. The candidates will be asked to solve the paper in OMR sheets/ Question papers.
  • Candidates will have a total of 3 hours to attempt the paper.
  • A total of 180 questions will be asked to be solved by the candidates.
  • Physics and chemistry sections will have a total of 45  questions each.
  • The candidates will be required to use a black/blue ballpoint pen to mark the answers in the OMR sheet.
  • The question paper will have sections of subjects like Biology, Zoology and Botany.
  • Biology will have 90 questions and Zoology and Botany will have 45 questions each. 
  • A strict marking scheme will be followed in which 4 marks will be given for every correct and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

  • All the questions for NEET 2021 exam are objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

  • Yes, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect response made by you in the NEET exam 2021. No marks will be deducted for an unanswered question by you.

  • Physics and Chemistry account for 45 marks each while Biology is of 90 marks in the NEET 2021 exam.

  • 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer made by you in the NEET exam 2021.

  • There are a total of 180 questions in NEET Exam for 2021 of 4 marks each.

  • NEET 2021 is conducted in 11 languages. However, you can select the medium of language out of English, Hindi, and Urdu in NEET Exam.

  • No, there is no sectional timing in NEET exam.

  • No, you cannot opt for the Marathi language if you will be taking the NEET exam from Delhi. The option to select the exam medium is based on the geographical location.
