NEET 2021 Counselling

NEET is one of the most talked-about exams in the country. With lakhs of candidates appearing every year, it has left us all so absorbed to know everything about the NEET 2021 Counselling. The counselling for NEET 2021 will take place for admission in BDS courses and MBBS for seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats including AIIMS, JIPMER of ESIC & AFMC, Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU. Notification for NEET Counselling in state universities and institutes under other authorities will be updated by the concerned authorities soon.

NEET 2021 Counselling will have 15% seats reserved in All India Quota. For this 15% of seats, there will be two rounds of counselling. Medical Counselling Committee undertakes the counselling process of this 15% of seats and 100% of setas in deemed and central universities. The rest of the 85% of seats are looked after by State Counselling Authorities. Private or self-financed medical colleges and institutions are supervised by respective State Counselling Authorities.

NEET 2021 Counselling Registration

The following steps are needed to be followed by the candidates while appearing for NEET 2021 Counselling:


  • Register yourself by entering your required details.
  • Make a refundable tuition fee will be paid along with the non-refundable registration fee.
  • As soon as the NEET 2021 counselling session starts, links will be activated and the students will be allowed to fill in their choices of colleges.
  • After filling up the choices, students are required to lock the choices. If not done, they will be automatically locked after the last date and no changes will be made.
  • After the release of the merit list, if the students qualify the list, they will be issued a provisional call letter from the college.
  • You will be required to visit the college to complete the further admission process.


Candidates will be required to carry the following documents during the admission process:


NEET admit card issued by NTA

NEET rank letter issued by NTA

Date of birth certificate

Class 10th certificate

Class 10+2 Certificate / Marksheet

Personal identity proof

Provisional allotment letter generated online

8 passport size photographs as uploaded during the time of filling the application form

NEET 2021 Reservation

NEET Counselling Scheme




100% Deemed University

  • Four rounds of counselling:
  • Round 1
  • Round 2 of AIQ 
  • Mop-Up Round 
  • Stray Vacancy Round.
  • MCC will conduct three out of four rounds in online mode. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • Respective Deemed Universities will conduct the Stray Vacancy round


  • Four rounds of counselling i.e.
  • Round 1
  • Round 2 of AIQ 
  • Mop-Up Round
  •  Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS.
  • MCC will conduct three out of four rounds in online mode. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • AIIMS will conduct the Stray Vacancy rounds


  • All India Quota (Round one & two) will be the medium to allot 15%ESUC seats.
  • All the candidates participating in the Mop-up Round will be eligible for the rest 85% seats as they will be under state quota.

Central University/institute

  • Four rounds of NEET 2020 counselling i.e.
  • Round 1
  • Round 2 of AIQ
  • Mop-Up Round 
  • Stray Vacancy Round.
  • MCC will conduct three out of four rounds in online mode. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • Respective Central University/Institute will conduct the Stray Vacancy round.

NEET 2020 Counselling Scheme for 15% AIQ

There are two rounds counselling for all the candidates except for the candidates belonging to Union Territory and J&K, who qualify for 15% All India Quota based on their performance in the NEET exam. Candidates can check their result on the official website of NEET. Vacant seats after the round 2 will be sent back to the respective states.

  • 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India
  • All India Quota of JIPMER (Puducherry/ Karaikal)
  • All India Quota seats of AMU/ DU/ VMMC/ ABVIMS
  • All India Quota Seats of Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Millia Islamia)
  • All India Quota Seats of ESIC

NEET Counselling 2020 State Quota

After 15% All India Quota seats, the remaining 85% seats will be filled by the respective states by conducting their NEET counselling process. The state will lay down the clear rules to administer the State NEET Counselling process for admission in government and private medical colleges.
