Medical Criteria for RRB JE

Medical Criteria for RRB JE are an essential condition every selected candidate has to satisfy. The Railway Recruitment Board every year conducts a Junior Engineer recruitment exam to hire suitable candidates for various Railway Board. The RRB JE exam is conducted at the national level. A lot of aspirants apply for the RRB JE exam. But only qualifying for the written exam does not guarantee selection. An aspirant has to satisfy several conditions such as passing the RRB JE medical test to get selected for the post.

Candidates aspiring for the exam should read on about RRB JE medical standards to know the foremost condition that every aspirant has to qualify.

Medical Criteria for RRB JE

Candidates with a lot of hard work qualify for the RRB JE CBT 1 & CBT 2 but qualifying only in written examination does not ensure selection. Therefore, aspirants should also ensure that they do not have any medical history which could result in disqualification from the RRB JE selection list. Because being physically fit is essential to carry out the duties.

RRB JE medical test of the candidates will be done at the time of document verification by Railway Administration. In case aspirants who have gone through some medical surgery or any treatment must cross verify with the stated guidelines laid down in the RRB JE recruitment notification itself.

Medical Standards for RRB JE Posts

Here is a list of medical standards every candidate have to satisfy. Even candidate at the time applying for the exam should ensure their physical fitness as per RRB JE eligibility norms. Alongside physical fitness, the candidate should also note vision standards to pass the RRB JE medical test.

2 B – 1 Physically Fit in All Respect
  • Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D),
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and Must pass the test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision
3 B – 2 Physically Fit in All Respect
  • Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D).
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and Must pass test for Binocular Vision
4 C – 1 Physically Fit in All Respect
  • Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses.
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required
